Size matters. The model name does not settle it.
How to use dimensions, openings and strap measurements to choose a handbag that fits your actual day.

Measure your essentials, not your ambition
Begin with the things you need to carry: your actual phone, wallet, keys, glasses case and any daily extras. Lay them out and compare their measurements with the bag you are considering. A charming compact shape may work brilliantly for an evening and poorly for a working day.
The Alma BB styling image shows everyday items beside the bag, not proof that all of them fit inside this particular example. Generated editorial images are not a capacity test. The listing’s measurements and the bag’s opening matter more.
Exterior dimensions are only part of the answer
Read the units carefully and check which measurement is width, height and depth. If the order is unclear, ask. Compare the figures with a bag you already own, or mark out the dimensions on paper to make the scale easier to imagine.
Exterior measurements do not necessarily equal usable interior space. Curved sides, internal pockets, partitions and the size of the opening can limit what fits. A long wallet may be shorter than the bag’s exterior width yet still be awkward to insert.
Fit includes the way you carry it
Check handle drop, strap length and whether a strap is adjustable or removable. A shoulder bag and a crossbody may need different lengths for your body and clothing. Do not assume that a model name guarantees a comfortable fit over a winter coat.
Photographs can help show shape, but perspective changes apparent scale. An AI styling preview is an illustration rather than an exact fit guarantee. When comfort depends on a measurement that is not listed, contact the seller before buying.
Choose for the occasion you have most often
A work bag needs different space and access from an evening bag. If you carry a device, compare its actual dimensions and consider the weight once the bag is filled. For errands, a secure closure and hands-free option may matter more than extra volume.
Small, medium and large are relative labels, not universal sizes. Read each individual listing, check the photographs and ask for missing measurements. The bag should fit your life without requiring you to rearrange it completely.
